Vacas Municipality

The municipality Vacas is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia, was established on 15 October 1986. Its inhabitants " Vaqueños " or " Vaqueñas " call themselves.

The municipality Vacas is one of two Municipalities of the Province and Arani is located in the eastern part of the province. Geography

The municipality covers an outflow -free high basin and the surrounding mountain ridges in the northwestern part of the Cordillera Oriental. The valley has an altitude of 3420 m and is dominated by three large lakes, the Lagunas (lakes ) Parco Kocha, Acero Khocha and Juntutuyo.
