Armand Massard

Emile Armand Massard ( born December 1, 1884 in Paris, † April 8, 1971 ) was a French fencer.

At the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 he won the gold medal in the epee competition. together with the French epee team he won the bronze medal.

A third Olympic medal won Massard 1928 at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, where he penetrated with the French epee team to the finals, but there then defeated the team from Italy.

After his active career as a fencer Massard began a career as a sports official. He held the office of President of the National Olympic Committee of France and was for a time Vice- President of the International Olympic Committee.
