Armeeabteilung Woyrsch

The Woyrsch / High Command Woyrsch was a major formation and the associated command authority of the German Army during the First World War ( 1914-1918). They included various troops and was named after its commander, Colonel General of Remus Woyrsch.

At the beginning of World War I were to cover the Silesian border only Landwehr associations. These were combined with the mobilization of the Landwehr Corps and placed under the command of General of Infantry of Remus Woyrsch. This association, however, was reinforced by numerous other troops to an Army Division. The wore a reorganization on November 3, 1914 statement, was appointed as Colonel General Woyrsch to their commander. The Army Division arrived exclusively on the Eastern Front used. Here she was on 14 November 1914 until the August 4, 1915 in support of the imperial Put monarchy under the command of the Austro-Hungarian Army Command. Later under Woyrsch command were also an Austro -Hungarian Army or Army Division, so that in the literature the term is to be found "Army Woyrsch ". On September 20, 1916, the High Command of the Army Division was also tasked with the leadership of the Army Group Woyrsch. On 15 December 1917, the army division was discontinued.
