Ashiya, Hyōgo

Ashiya (Japanese芦 屋 市, - shi) is a city in the Hanshin area between Osaka and Kobe in Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan. It is part of the large conurbation Kansai. Your current management structure dates from 10 November 1940.

Since 1964 there is the University of Ashiya. In 1991, the Ashiya City Museum of Art and History, built.

Geography

Ashiya is located east of Kobe and west of Amagasaki.

Junichiro Tanizaki lived here from 1934 to 1936, which is why the Tanizaki Junichiro Memorial Museum of Literature was built in Ashiya.

In Ashiya is a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which is privately owned by a company, but can be visited.
