Association of Madon and Moselle country communes
The Communauté de communes du Secteur de Dompaire is a municipal merger of 28 municipalities to the west and north-west of Epinal in the Vosges department in Lorraine.
The Local Government Association has 5,812 inhabitants (1 January 2008) to 225.59 km ², which is / corresponds to a population density of 26 inhabitants km ². Seat of the Association is the community Dompaire.
Almost all member communities lie within the catchment area of the Madon and its tributaries. Exceptions are the municipalities of Saint -Vallier, Bouxières -aux -Bois and Bettegney -Saint -Brice in the Northeast, which belong to the catchment area of the River Moselle. In Harol and Dommartin- aux- Bois, the southernmost communes of the association, the plateau of Voge and thus the North Sea -Mediterranean watershed is reached. Up to Dommartin- aux- Bois, located in Canton Epinal -Ouest include the member communities to 30 communities comprehensive Canton Dompaire.
The community association was established on 1 December 2000 the name Communauté de communes du Pays d' Entre Madon et Moselle founded ( renamed in 2010 ), designed to combine the material resources of some very small communities and to coordinate economic development.
To the field of the Association of Local Authorities include regional planning, the cross-community business and tourism development, and the implementation of all measures to maintain public services. The Communauté de communes du Secteur de Dompaire has also set itself the goal of working together in the field of water supply / water quality closely.
The Communauté de communes du Secteur de Dompaire is headed by the conseil communautaire, whose 36 members were elected by the respective municipal councils in proportion to the population. Dompaire, Harol and Ville -sur- Illon send three, Damas -et- Bettegney, Hennecourt and Madonna -et- Lamerey two, all other municipalities each appoint a representative to the committee.
