Asterix and Obelix All at Sea
Obelix at Sea ( original French title: La galère d' Obélix ) is the 30th Asterix band.
The comic was drawn by Albert Uderzo and written and published in 1996. The previous tape was Asterix and Maestria and the successor band Asterix and Latraviata. Uderzo has dedicated the band his grandson and actor Kirk Douglas, whom he caricatured in this volume with the figure savings Takis, which he alludes to his role in the movie Spartacus.
Action
The story begins in the palace of Julius Caesar, who is with the Pharaoh Cleopatra together and catch up on Admiral Aquis submersus (Latin: swallowed up by the waters, also the title of a novella by Theodor Storm ) upset, which is to blame, that the most valuable ship Caesar was stolen by slaves. Comments
It is the first album in which the pirates are called by their names. Furthermore, Cleopatra is represented differently in this volume than in Asterix and Cleopatra. ( such as it has here a normal nose).
Publication
The first edition of the album La Galère d' Obélix took place in 1996 in the publishing house Albert René as the 30th volume of the series instead. The German edition of the album was released, according to the editorial of the plant output on 10 October 1996 at Ehapa as well as in most European countries. With the 2002 reissue of the band has a new title screen.
