Comments

Brutus and the prefect of Gaul are likely caricatures of Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. It is also the first and only time that the Romans manage to destroy the village. Furthermore, it is the first time since Asterix the Gladiator that the banquet, which otherwise always takes place at the end, is held on the day.
