Asterix and the Secret Weapon

Asterix and Maestria ( original French title: La Rose et le Glaive ) is the 29th volume of the Asterix series. He appeared in 1991 in French and German and was drawn and written by Albert Uderzo. The previous tape was Asterix and the Magic and the successor band Obelix on a cruise.

Action

In the Gallic village of Asterix and Obelix dispute has broken out because not let join the boys in the school break the girls. The book deals with feminism and is a response to criticism that the world of the Gauls was misogynistic. The bard Maestria is a caricature of Edith Cresson ( born 1934 ), a French politician.

With Asterix and Maestria first time Asterix album was released simultaneously in all European countries. The first edition of the book La Rose et le Glaive in 1991 with Albert René as Volume 29 of the series. The German edition of the book appeared in Ehapa. With the 2002 reissue of the band was given a new title screen. The band appeared among others in English, Spanish, Turkish, and in the Saxon dialects, and the Baden Franconian.
