Auchenblae

Auchenblae, also Auchinblae, (Gaelic: Achadh nam Bláth ) is a Scottish village in the unitary authority Aberdeenshire. It is located in the region of Kincardine and Mearns, about eight kilometers north of Laurencekirk and 15 km south-west of Stonehaven in the traditional county of Kincardineshire.

Supposedly buried the Holy Ternan the remains of St. Palladius in Auchenblae. At the south end of the village is now a chapel, St. Palladius is ordained. At the church of Auchenblae a Pictish symbol stone is placed, which is one of the oldest in the region.

Between 1895 and 1930, was located in the village of a whiskey distillery called Auchenblae or Auchinblae. Parts of the building have been preserved.

Traffic

The A90, which connects with Dundee Fraserburgh runs, about four kilometers east of the village. A railway link is not established.
