The parliamentary election in Australia in 1987 was held on 11 July 1987. It was the election for the 35th Australian Parliament. Of the two chambers of parliament, the House of Representatives (Lower House) and the Senate ( Upper House ) was newly elected.

Election winner was the ruling Labor Party. She could defend their absolute majority of seats in the House of Representatives. However, loser was the opposition Liberal Party.
