The parliamentary election in Australia in 2001 was held on 10 November 2001. It was the choice of the 40th Australian Parliament. Of the two chambers of parliament, the House of Representatives (lower house ) was completely and partially re-elected to the Senate (upper house).

The ruling coalition of the Liberal Party and National Party won the election and became clearly confirmed in office. Election loser, with significant loss of votes were the Labor Party and One Nation.
