The parliamentary election in Australia in 1990 was held on 24 March 1990. It was the election of the 36th Australian Parliament. Of the two chambers of parliament, the House of Representatives (lower house ) was completely and partially re-elected to the Senate (upper house).

Although the ruling Labor Party lost the most votes, they still could continue to govern with an absolute majority. Loser of the election was the opposition Liberal Party.
