The Autostrada A13 (Italian for, A13 ') is an Italian motorway in the north of the country, connecting Bologna and Padua. It is 113 km long and is partial toll road. It runs between the two regions of Veneto and Emilia -Romagna. It is operated by the Italian motorway company Autostrade per l' Italia.

Route

The entire route of the A13 is located in the Po Valley. It connects the industrial centers Padua -Bologna, and provides a connection between the northeast and the center of Italy represents the A13 begins in Bologna, where they branched off from the ring road, which form the A1 and the A14 Bologna. Northwards to extend it leads the Bologna airport over to the provincial capital of Ferrara, where the feeder road RA08 Ferrara - Porto Garibaldi leads into the A13. At km 40 of the Po is exceeded, which also forms the border between Emilia -Romagna and Veneto. Subsequently, the highway takes you past the provincial capital of Rovigo and the Euganean Hills. In the south of the city of Padua, at the connection point of Padova Sud is connected to the ring road of Padua. In its last section leads east past the town, and then empties into the A4.

Opening and expansion of state

The highway has been released in its full length to traffic on June 6, 1970. The entire highway is four lanes expanded and provided with emergency lane.

Plans

In the expansion plans of Autostrade per l' Italia, which were adopted in 2008, a six-lane expansion between Bologna and Padua is provided. The section Padova Sud and Monselice to 13.3 km, and the section Ferrara - Bologna with 32.7 kilometers to six lanes ( three lanes in each direction) to be expanded.

Tutor and fog signals

The A13 was common with the A4 and A14 selected to test the new system tutor. Here, not speed, is measured at a specific location, but the average speed over a longer distance ( roughly comparable to the Section Control used in Austria ).

This applies to the sections between junctions Occiobello and Archoveggio at Bologna and between Rovigo and Padua - Zona Industriale.

The A13 leads in their section by a winter very often affected by ground fog region, so it is fitted in wide sections with white semi-circles on the side of the highway, a visual aid to offer in fog.

This feeder road closes the A13 at the urban road network of Padua. It is 4.3 km long and not subject to toll.

It consists of four lanes ( two lanes in each direction).
