Avro Burga

The Burga Monoplane was a two-seat aircraft by the English manufacturer Avro.

General

In 1912, the company Avro received from a Peruvian lieutenant Burga commissioned to build an airplane. This machine should be based on a design Burgas. Burga had chosen Avro, since this company was very progressive in the field of aircraft control at this time.

Since Avro was just busy with the construction of the prototype of the type E, ​​the forerunner of the Avro 500, mono Planes parts were the construction of the Burga used, which were also fitted with the Type E: wing, tail area ( height and rudder) and the suspension. Especially for Burgas aircraft but the hull was developed, it was much narrower than the Type E Hull. The built-in engine was a Gnome with a power of about 37.3 kW ( 50.7 hp).
