Ayumi Ogasawara

Ayumi Ogasawara (Japanese小 笠原 歩, Ayumi Ogasawara, born November 25, 1978 in Tokoro, Tokoro -gun (now Kitami ), Hokkaido as Ayumi Onodera (小 野寺 歩, Ayumi Onodera ) ) is a Japanese curler.

Onodera participated at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The team finished in eighth place. From 2003 to 2006 she was a member of the newly founded team of Aomori Aomori CC.

Also at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin Onodera was part of the Japanese Olympic curling team. She played on the position of the skip next to their teammates Third Yumie Hayashi, Second Mari Motohashi, Lead Moe Meguro and Alternate Sakurako Terada. The team finished in seventh place. Hayashi and Motohashi also come from Tokoro.

On 17 May 2006, she announced that she is withdrawing from active sports to pursue her first marriage and starting a family. Now Ayumi Ogasawara hot end, she returned again in 2007 on the active competition as a partner of Makoto Tsuruga who compete in mixed doubles. In the first national championship in mixed doubles both reached the final, but subject to Michiko and Kenji Taira Tomabechi, which thus Japan's selection for the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2008.
