Baluran National Park

The National Park Baluran is located on the island of Java, in the Indonesian province of East Java. The vegetation is characterized by great diversity. These include tropical rain forest, which accounts for 40 % of the park and mainly in the south of the park with mangroves, freshwater marshes and Küstenbewaldung to the Gunung Bauran. The northern part is characterized by savannah landscape. Among the more than 400 recorded plant species include the neem tree, the tamarind tree and light walnut. Among the 26 species of mammals Banteng, Leopard, Kleinkantschil, fishing cat and Black are Haubenlangur. Among the more than 150 bird species include green peafowl, junglefowl, rhinoceros bird Barn Swallow and Lesser Adjutant.
