Ban Lat District

Amphoe Ban Lat ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้านลาด ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the central part of Phetchaburi province. The Phetchaburi Province is located in the south western part of central Thailand.


Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Khao Yoi, the, Mueang Phetchaburi, Tha Yang, Kaeng Krachan and Nong Ya Plong. All are Amphoe of Phetchaburi province.


In Tambon Saphan Krai is made ​​from the sap of the sugar palm is a famous throughout Thailand sugar, the Nam Tan Tanot ( น้ำตาล โตนด ) prepared.


Originally called the county Tha Chang ( Thai: ท่าช้าง ), but was renamed in Ban Lat 1959.
