Bang Saphan District

Bang Saphan ( Thai: บางสะพาน ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the southern part of the province ( Changwat ) Prachuap Khiri Khan. Prachuap Khiri Khan is the southernmost province of central Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions: Amphoe Thap Sakae is located north, Amphoe Bang Saphan Noi south of the circle Bang Saphan. To the west is the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar, to the east of the Gulf of Thailand.

The National Park Namtok Huai Yang ( Huai Yang Waterfall - Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก ห้วย ยาง ) located both here in Bang Saphan Amphoe Thap Sakae as well as in.

History

Bang Saphan was already a city in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya. In the Thonburi period, it was called Mueang Kamnoed Nopphakhun. In the Rattanakosin period, King Nang Klao (Rama III. ) Raised to a " 4th class city " under the Kalahom (defense ) ministry. King Chulalongkorn ( Rama V ) classified her back to the Mueang Kamnoed Nopphakhun district. 1915 called King Vajiravudh (Rama VI. ) The district around by section Mueang. Amphoe Bang Saphan is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which further into 71 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

  • Kamnoet Nopphakhun ( เทศบาล ตำบล กำเนิด นพคุณ ) consists of parts of the tambon Kamnoet Nopphakhun,
  • Ron Thong ( เทศบาล ตำบล ร่อนทอง ) consists of parts of the tambon Ron Thong,
  • Ban Krut ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน กรูด ) consists of parts of the tambon Thong Chai.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" ( TAO - administrative units ).
