Bätterkinden is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Geography

Bätterkinden is about 20 km north of Bern. It is located west of the river Emme on Urtenenbach and on Limpach. The municipality consists of the settlements Bätterkinden and Kräiligen, the hamlets Alp and wooden houses and outdoor courtyards Berchtoldshof, Buuchi, students Acher, upper and lower Löffelhof, Neumatt, Niedermatt and Rütti.

The North Südausdehnung is 7.4 km. Bätterkinden is seven Berner ( Aefligen, Ms. Fountain, Utzenstorf, Wiler bei Utzenstorf, Zielebach ) and five Solothurn Municipalities ( Buchegg, Biberist, Gerlafingen, Lohn, Lüterkofen ) surrounded.

Council consisting of seven members who are elected by proportional representation. Current composition ( legislative period 2012-2016 ): 3 SVP, 2 SP, 1 FWB, 1 BDP. Mayor 's Beat Linder (SVP of 2012).

  • Train connections to Bern and Solothurn with clock schedule (usually every half hour ). The journey time is 12 minutes and to Solothurn to Bern 26 minutes.

In the village part Bätterkinden two cantonal roads intersect: the T12 transport route Solothurn- Bern in north-south direction. The road Lyss-Utzenstorf-Koppigen/Burgdorf in east-west direction. Then there is the main road which connects Bätterkinden about Kyburg with the Bucheggberg. The motorway Kirchberg ( Berne ) and War Stetten ( Basel / Zurich ) which can be achieved A1 in each approximately 10 minutes driving time.
