BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award
The award for BBC Sports Personality of the Year is awarded to a British sportsman or sportswoman of 1954. The award is organized by the BBC and chosen by public vote. It is the most prestigious general sports award in British sport. The only two-time winners were the boxer Henry Cooper and the Formula 1 driver Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill.
