Bellaria – Igea Marina
Bellaria -Igea Marina is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 18,733 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Rimini in Emilia -Romagna. The community is located about 14 kilometers northwest of Rimini on the Adriatic. Here ends the Uso in the Adriatic Sea. The municipality or the municipal districts of seaside resorts such as San Mauro Mare and Cagnona.
History
Mentioned in documents of the Bellaria is in 1359 as a place under the rule of the Malatesta family.

Sports
Twice was the town stop on the Giro d' Italia in 1960 and 1987.
Traffic
At the community lead both the Strada Statale 16 Adriatica past ( in a northerly direction to Cesena, in a southerly direction to Rimini ) and the Autostrada A14. The community also lies on the railway line Bologna -Ravenna - Rimini and has two stations, each with two tracks. The nearest airport is located near Rimini.
Shopping
The Romagna Center offers a huge selection of supermarkets; Clothing, crafts and sports shops and restaurants. It is located in San Mauro Mare and has a direct connection to the highway SS16. In the city there are several small shops.

Bellaria Igea Marina has many hotels and is visited by tourists because it is right on the sea.
