Bellenglise

Bellenglise is a commune with 385 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Aisne in the Picardie region.

Geography

Bellenglise is located about ten kilometers north- west of Saint- Quentin on the Canal de Saint -Quentin. The A26 motorway ( Calais -Troyes ) is tangent to the municipality in the west.

History

The place was September 29, 1918 hard -fought at the Battle of Saint- Quentin Canal.
