Betsy Clifford

Elizabeth " Betsy " Clifford (* October 15, 1953 in Ottawa ) is a former Canadian alpine skier.

The highlight of her career was winning the World Championship title in the giant slalom at the World Ski Championships 1970 in Val Gardena. They also won in St. Moritz at the World Ski Championships 1974, the silver medal in the downhill.

In skiing it was once in the giant slalom and the slalom triumph twice. In the 1970/71 season they finished third in the slalom World Cup first place, level on points with Britt Lafforgue. In the course of her career she was seven Canadian Champion (Giant Slalom in 1973 and 1975 slalom 1973, 1974 and 1976; combination 1973 and 1975 ).
