Carole Merle

Carole Merle ( born January 24, 1964 in Barcelonette ) is a French former alpine skier.

The specialist for Giant Slalom and Super -G won in her career 22 World Cup races, including 12 super -G and giant slalom 10. From 1989 to 1992 she won four consecutive Super - G World Cup. They also took in 1992 and 1993, the globe in Giant Slalom.

Merle became vice world champion in giant slalom at the World Championships in 1989 in Vail and Super- G at the 1991 World Championships in Saalbach -Hinterglemm. The awaited world title she managed at the 1993 World Championships in Morioka, where she triumphed in the giant slalom. Twelve years before, she had already won at the Junior European Championships 1981, a gold medal in the giant slalom.
