Biesdorf-Süd (Berlin U-Bahn)

Biesdorf -South is a located above ground metro station of line U5 in the Berlin district of Marzahn - Biesdorf Heller village. North of the metro station and is the Biesdorfer Stretch.

The metro station was opened on 1 July 1988 as part of the extension to the east of that line E, ​​which ended by then am Tierpark Underground Station, the first of two new stations. The new time being the terminus of line E was the further east metro station Elsterwerdaer place.

Due to the plans for a new residential area to the former Good Heller village it was decided to discard the previously planned extension of the line E of Tierpark towards Karl Horst and Beautiful pasture and to secure the much needed connectivity of the proposed residential area.

Exactly one year later, on 1 July 1989, the track was completed by Heller village, so that the line U5 since its eastern terminus Honow achieved, which is located on the border of the state of Brandenburg.
