Biffy Clyro
Biffy Clyro is a Scottish band from Ayrshire, which was founded in 1995.
Band History
On their first album Blackened Sky Biffy Clyro played a alternative rock, which was heavily influenced by bands such as Far, and was also compared with early American bands like Jimmy Eat World. With their second album, The Vertigo Of Bliss they started changing their style in the direction of progressive rock. Since this album was more difficult to access, it is a lot of fans so revered as controversial. Their third album, Infinity Land, continued the development towards prog-rock, but it had now again more pop Appeals. After their first three albums were all produced by Chris Sheldon, supervised their catchy major debut puzzle Garth ' GGGarth ' Richardson, who had produced even Rage Against the Machine, Skunk Anansie and Chevelle. Biffy Clyro are a close friend of the coming also from Glasgow band Aereogramme. Simon Neil and Aereogramme drummer Martin Scott already since elementary school know each other. With JP Reid of Sucioperro Simon Neil launched the rock project Marmaduke Duke.
Since the Festival Tour 2010 Biffy Clyro live by Mike Vennart (former lead singer and guitarist of Oceansize ) are supported on the second guitar. Since the tour for the last album live also ( also former guitarist of Oceansize ) plays Gambler keyboard.
