Billie Whitelaw

Billie Honor Whitelaw, CBE ( born June 6, 1932 in Coventry, England) is a British actress.

Life

Whitelaw grew up in Thornton and attended the Grammar School in Bradford. Subsequently, she studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1950 and her theater debut. After his first roles on British television in 1952, she had a year later her feature film debut in a small supporting role. She was nominated in 1961 for the first time in the following years continuous involvement in film and television and has been for the British Film Award. In 1969 she won the award in two ways, for Albert Finney's Charlie Bubbles - a successful dud 1967 and for the horror movie vicious circle Y 1968 In the 1970s, she starred in the internationally successful productions such as Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy and The Omen. . Whitelaw was married twice. The first marriage to actor Peter Vaughan in 1966 divorced. Her second husband, the writer Robert Muller died in 1998.
