Bilohirsk Raion

The Rajon Bilohirsk (Ukrainian Білогірський район / Bilohirskyj rayon; Russian Белогорский район / Belogorsky raion, Crimean Tatar Qarasuvbazar rayonı ) is a Ukrainian raion in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He has an overall population of about 66000 inhabitants and has an area of 1,894 km ². It includes a city, one urban-type settlement and 78 villages which are organized into 17 district municipalities.

Geography

The Raion is located in the middle south of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, it is bordered on the northwest by the Rajon Krasnohwardijske, in the north for a short distance to the Rajon Nyschnjohirskyj, in the northeast on the Rajon Sowjetskyj, to the east by Rajon Kirowske, in the southeast on the town Sudak, in the southwest of the city of Alushta and on the west by the Raion Simferopol.
