Bases and routes

An important base is the slightly southeast of the Halserspitze located Gufferthütte ( 1475 m) of the Alpine Club Section Buy ring, which is open in summer and accommodation offers. Not far from the self-catering cottage is Bavarian Wildalm the Munich section of the German Alpine Club. Simply manages also the Blaubergalm (1540 m) is just below the sermon chair to the west.

Over the ridge of the Blue Mountains is a marked hiking trail, which allows the excess over the whole massif. The starting point of this popular but long circular walk normally develops Wildbad Kreuth. The rise from there over the Siebenhüttenalm and the Wolf's Glen to the saddle between the shield and stone pulpit is locally tightrope secured. Other ascents are possible from the Gufferthütte or Achenwald. The eastern end of the Blue Mountains is accessible from the Gufferthütte or Wildbad Kreuth (via the little mountain hut or the Bayrbachalm ). For the entire round, a time of eight hours is specified.
