History

In the 1970s there were three in Borlänge higher class playing ice hockey teams, of which the most successful was IF Tunabro, who had played several years in the then first-class Division 1. The other two clubs were Kvarnsvedens GoIF and IK Rommehed. In 1977, the departments of Hockey IF Tunabro and Kvarnsvedens GoIF banded together to Borlänge HC. Four years later they had their IK Rommehed due to the great competition. The new team was initially made ​​sponsorship reasons named HC Dobel. Only in 1993 the club was renamed in Borlänge HF. Since the season 1999/2000 of Borlänge HF occurs in the now third-rate Division 1.
