Boršov

Boršov ( German Borschau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. You more than twelve kilometers west of the center of Jihlava and belongs to Okres Jihlava.

Geography

Boršov is located on the right side of the creek Jedlovský creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Southwest is the pond Sviták. To the south rises the Brezina ( 743 m) and west of the Kopec ( 696 m). In the south there is a quarry.

Neighboring towns are Dušejov in the north, Ježená in the northeast, Zbuzany and Stary Hubenov in the east, Jedlov and Mirošov the southeast, Bahna, Nový Hojkov and Větrov in the south, Hatlíkov and Milíčov the southwest, Melouniště and Chaloupky in the west and Yankov in the northwest.

History

Boršov built in the 13th century during the colonization of the Czech border areas with Moravia in the diocese of Prague belonging Gau Řečice. Named the place is named after a Bořislav. The first written mention of Borzyssow took place in 1233. The settlement existed at the end of the 14th century from eight property that had ransomed for a payment of three pence per stately gradient Hube from the drudgery and had to pay only for hunting services. In the middle of the 15th century the village belonged to the possessions of the monastery Hohenfurth, which sold it to Nicholas of Pelgrims before 1460. Below Boršov belonged to rule Rychnov. From 1543 acquired the Lords of Leskovec Rychnov. 1586 Emperor Rudolf II bought the reign of the royal chamber.

After the abolition of patrimonial Boršov formed in 1850 a district of the municipality in the district Hojkov Pelhřimov. School location was Dušejov, where it came to a dispute between two places because of the amount of the required for the entertainment of school costs. At the beginning of the 20th century Boršov became independent. 1920 the community had 272 inhabitants and consisted of 47 houses. Ten years later, 241 people lived in Boršov. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Jihlava - okolí and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Jihlava.
