Bushehr Province

The Bushehr Province (Persian استان بوشهر ) is one of the 31 provinces in Iran. Capital is Bandar -e Bushehr.

In the province of 886 267 people ( 2006 census ). The province covers 22,743 square kilometers and has a population density of 39 inhabitants per square kilometer.


The province extends north and south of their capital along the Persian Gulf in the south of the country.


During the summers are unbearably hot, prevail in winter pleasantly mild temperatures - but the year is about life during the lunch time to a complete standstill.

In particular, the islanders dress remains traditional. The men wear a long cloak and turban, the women loose trousers and colored garments; they also wear a face mask made ​​of embroidered colored goatskin, which leaves only the eyes and mouth.
