Canadian federal election, 1887
The 6th Canadian House elections (English 6th Canadian General Election, French 6e élection fédérale canadienne ) took place on 22 February 1887. Were elected 215 Members of the Canadian House of Commons (English House of Commons, French Chambre des Communes ).
The choice
The conservatives of Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald and the Liberal - Conservative associated with them were for the third consecutive year to maintain its majority. The reasons given by Edward Blake liberals, as already recorded five years earlier single seat gains, but made it again not to bring about a change of government. For the first time the right to vote were the inhabitants of the Northwest Territories, which at that time also the modern provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan and parts of Manitoba included.
The turnout was 70.1 %.

- Quebec: one Conservative, three Liberal
