History

The group Carajo was established in 2001 by Andrés Vilanova (drums), Marcelo Corvalan (bass guitar, vocals ) - ( Guitar Backing vocals ) founded both former musician with ANIMAL and Hernán Langer in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires. The first concert took place on 25 May 2001 at the Whisky a GoGo in Buenos Aires instead. In the same year, the group played in the provinces of Mendoza, Córdoba, Catamarca and already played in neighboring Uruguay. The band played for the first time with Attaque 77 and Cemento.

The debut album: Carajo

Between January and March of 2002, the group participated in the studios " Del Abasto al Pasto " and " Pichón Digital" her debut album, which under the name Carajo ( German: Hell) was published. It contains 12 pieces that were written by the musicians of the band. The album was produced by Ale Vázquez GuaGua Musica and distributed by Universal Music Argentina.

The release party took place on September 7, 2002 at The Roxy in Buenos Aires held, which was attended by more than 1,000 people. The first single, Sacrate la mierda, be kept for several weeks in the FM Rock & Pop Charts and has been shown for several weeks at MTV. Second album: Atrapasueños and Electrorroto acustizado 2.1

At the beginning of 2004, the band worked on the songs for the second album, which bears the name Atrapasueños. In March appeared on the play El Vago a music video which was produced by Diego Pernía and Julián Sequeira. Songs from this album were first listed on the Cosquin skirt. The group played various concerts at festivals in Argentina, Paraguay and Chile where some pieces from the new album were played.

Atrapasueños was produced by Claudio Romandini mastered and Ale Vázquez. It was released on 20 October 2004 as a download and CD via Universal Music Argentina. In November, the group released their fifth overall music video. This was again from Pernia and bears the name of El Error which again was broadcast on MTV. Meanwhile, 16,000 copies of the album could be brought to the man. The CD release party was also held on 20 November. Third album: Inmundo

In 2008, the group played on the two most famous music festivals in Argentina - the Cosquin rock and Quilmes Rock which takes place among others in the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti. After that, the group played in Paraguay with the band Flou. It was followed by a performance by the band at the Pepsi Music Festival.

Fourth album: El mar de las almas

In early 2010 the group released a 24 episodes long series of videos which will document the making of the new album. Between March and July 2010, the Group was in the Jo- The Studio to work on the album, which was later mastered in Los Angeles. On September 23, 2010, the work on the album, which is called El mar de las almas completed. The release ceremony was held at the Teatro Flores.
