The uninhabited volcanic island of Iceland Carlisle ( aleutian Name: Kigalĝa ) is one of the Islands of Four Mountains, a group of islands in the eastern part of the Aleutian island arc. Politically, it is part of the U.S. state of Alaska.
The circular island with a diameter of 6.5 kilometers is dominated by the 1620 meter high shield volcano Mount Carlisle. The island is separated by a three-kilometer wide strait, the Carlisle Pass, from the southeast, Chuginadak Iceland. Nine kilometers southwest lies the Herbert Iceland.
