Carpentersville is a village in Kane County in the northeast of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2000, Carpentersville had 30 586 inhabitants, a 2008 estimate showed an increase in the population at 37,210.

Geography

History

The first white men to the territory of the city settled the two brothers, Daniel and Charles Valentine Carpenter. In 1837 the two brothers on the Fox River were on the road and camped at the site of the present town and decided due to unfavorable conditions for further travel to settle equal firmly in place.
