Castelo Branco District

The Castelo Branco District (Distrito de Castelo Branco ) is a district in Portugal, which is a part of the traditional province of Beira Baixa ( turn the southern part of Beira Interior is ). The neighboring districts are called Guarda in the north, Portalegre and Santarém in the south and Leiria and Coimbra in the West. In the east borders of the District of Castelo Branco in Spain.

The area is 6675 km ², the district has a population of 208 069 (as of 2001). Capital of the district is Castelo Branco. License plate for trailers: CB.
