Catán Lil Department

The department Catán Lil located in the center of the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered on the north by the departments Picunches and Zapala, on the east by the department of Picún Leufú, to the south by the Departamento Collón Curá and to the west by the departments Huiliches and Aluminé.

The capital of the department Catán Lil Las Coloradas.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population grew from 2,469 inhabitants (2001) to 3,253 inhabitants in 2005.
