Celebration is the third best-of album by Madonna and appeared in Germany and other European countries on September 18, 2009 and in the U.S. on September 28. The album was released both as a double CD with 36 songs, as well as a single CD with 18 songs. All songs include Madonna's entire career, from Everybody from 1982 to the current singles Miles Away and Celebration. The fans were allowed to vote on the songs selection with the internet and so also some fan favorites like Who's That Girl and Dress You Up took place on the compilation. Madonna said:

"They are all a part of me. Each song reveals an aspect of my person, or a pivotal moment for me. I know with every song, which was at this time in my life going on. They are signposts. "

Overview

The album is the last one, which was posted in Madonna's label Warner Bros. bisherigem before transitioning to Live Nation.
