Certara

Certara was up on April 13, 2013 a municipality in the district Sonvico, district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.

New the former municipalities Bogno, Certara, Cimadera and Valcolla belong to the new Lugano neighborhood Val Colla.

Geography

The former municipality is located in the upper part of the Val Colla, west of Monte Cucco, bordering on Italy.

History

First mentioned in 1264 as Certara.
