Chalmaison
Chalmaison is a commune with 745 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Provins Canton and Bray- sur -Seine. The inhabitants call themselves Chalmaisonais.
History
In the field of Chalmaison prehistoric and Gallo -Roman remains have been found.
The place is the first time in 1130 handed a document. The first landlord was called as the place also Charlemaison, which became Chalmaison.

- Abbé Henry Ménardais (1882-1956) was from 1934 to 1952 pastor in Chalmaison. In 1998, he was posthumously honored as Righteous Among the Nations.
