Passy-sur-Seine

Passy- sur -Seine is a commune with 47 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Provins Canton and Bray- sur -Seine. The inhabitants call themselves Passytois.

History

Passy- sur -Seine, the smallest municipality in the department of Seine- et- Marne, was first handed in documents in the 11th century. Jean IV de Veelu built in the 16th century a castle in the city, parts of which are still preserved. His descendants had until the 18th century, the manorial system in place.
