Les Ormes-sur-Voulzie

Les Ormes -sur- Voulzie is a commune with 837 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Provins Canton and Bray- sur -Seine. The inhabitants call themselves Ormois.

Geography

The place consists of three parts: Le Bourg, Couture and Moulin d' Ocle that belonged throughout history in different manors. In the 1980s, have grown together through the buildings along the street Sentier de la Messe Le Bourg and Moulin d' Ocle. The village lies in the valley of the river Voulzie and the former shipping canal Canal des Ormes.
