Chris Christenson

Chris Christenson (* 1875 in Norway, † unknown) was an American figure skater, who started in a single run.

Christenson and his family emigrated from Norway to the United States when he was eight years old. At first they lived in Wisconsin and then in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he started for the local figure skating club Twin City FSC later. In 1914, Christenson began at the age of 39 years, with the figure skating. In the period 1920-1926 he took part in six national championships. In 1923 he was runner-up behind Sherwin Badger, 1924 and 1926, he was third in Boston, before the local hero Nathaniel Niles, finally champions. At the time of his mastery, he was 51 years old, making him the oldest U.S. figure skating champion in men's singles in history.
