Clube de Regatas Brasil

The Clube de Regatas Brasil, only briefly mentioned in the rule CRB, is a Brazilian sports club from Maceió, the approximately 1 million inhabitants, capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of Alagoas. The colors of the company founded in 1912 the association are red and white.

It was founded on 20 September 1912 by Lafaiete Pacheco, a former member of the Clube de Regatas Alagoano. Lafaiete Pacheco was dissatisfied with his old club and therefore the CRB founded.

1921 referred CRB his club-owned stadium. 1927 was won by the club in the first playout the title of national champion of Alagoas. To date CRB won this title a total of 27 times. The local rivals, with the shares CRB supremacy in the state, Centro Sportivo Alagoano, named CSA, has, however, in this competition to have 10 successes more these days.

An important era in club history, the years 1972 to 1981, when CRB was nine years nationally top notch.

Other sports

When CRB a variety of other sports such as basketball, handball and futsal is still practiced. A major success reached the volleyball players of the club, as this 1969 won the South America Cup.

Stadium

Estádio Severiano Gomes Filho

CRB wore its home games until around 2006 the club's Estádio Severiano Gomes Filho out, was begun in 1916, four years after the founding of the Association and which was opened in 1921. The stadium is fürgewöhnlich after the neighborhood in which it is located, called Pajuçara and has a capacity of 6,000 spectators. The attendance record dated 25 July 1960, when Pele with Santos FC attracted 8,000 spectators. CRB lost the match with 0:6.

Currently, goes for a club president in the 1950s and 1960s named Stadium Stadium a far-reaching renovation and it is hoped that the state championship again in 2009 on the old homestead to compete.

Estádio Rei Pelé

For the time being, therefore, is divided CRB with rival CSA that the state-owned Estádio Rei Pelé, is because usually called by the district Trapiche Barra Trapichão. The multi-purpose stadium was opened on November 25, 1970 with a game against the selection of a state angreiste with the namesake Santos.
