Betim Esporte Clube

The Betim Esporte Clube is a football club based in Betim, a four hundred thousand inhabitants city in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

From 1998 to 2012, the club Ipatinga Futebol Clube said. The club colors are red, green, blue and white, and were inspired by the colors of the city Ipatinga. The usual brazil club mascot, a tiger, was determined by public poll.

History

The history of the club began when a number of local business people in 1998 Novo Cruzeiro FC took over from the suburb of the same name and renamed in Ipatinga FC. The club logo is approximated that of the previous association.

It soon began a rapid ascent of the association. First highlight was winning the 2005 Campeonato Mineiro also mentioned State Championship of Minas Gerais.
