Dale Van Every

Dale Van Every (full name Byron Dale Van Every, born July 23, 1896 in Egleston, Michigan, † May 28, 1976 in Santa Barbara, California ) was an American author and screenwriter.

Biography

Dale Van Every employed himself as a writer with historical events. So he wrote the novel A Company of Heroes against the backdrop of the American Revolutionary War. His other works include the novel The Captive Witch and the biography of Charles Lindbergh - His Life.

In the 1920s, Van Every began to write screenplays and screenplay templates for the new medium of film. Also, as a producer he tried. As a screenwriter successful ( for Manuel in 1938 along with John Lee Mahin and Marc Connelly nominated for the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay ), he was responsible for the screenplays of 30 films. As a producer he was six times worked.

In 1951, Dale Van Every retired from the film business. On 28 May 1976 he died in Santa Barbara.
