Daniel Schwaab ( born August 23, 1988 in Waldkirch ) is a German football player who is under contract at VfB Stuttgart since the 2013/14 season.

Association

Youth / Amateur

He started with four years at the Bambinis the SV Waldkirch, where he first stood in the gate, moved into the field later. In 2000 he moved to SC Freiburg in the youth department. The defender won the 2006 with the Freiburger A junior the DFB Cup ( 4-1 in the final against Karlsruher SC) and got a contract for the league team Breisgauer.

Professional

SC Freiburg

Due to some injuries and disposals in the first team he was already on Matchday 4 against TSV 1860 Munich at the Allianz Arena in front of 42,500 spectators to its first use in the 2nd Bundesliga. Quickly Schwaab developed into a reliable player and came in three years to 91 inserts and six goals.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

After his contract expired, he moved from 1 July 2009 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He quickly established himself as a left-back in the young defense of the work clubs. Towards the end of the season he had, however, an inglorious appearance when he was put in the game in Frankfurt shortly after the break due to rough tackle from the square. After leaving the concord turned a 1:2 residue in a 3-2 victory. In the following season, however, Schwaab proved again to be a reliable defender and played 30 of 34 games season. In the end he was able to celebrate with Leverkusen the runner-up.

VfB Stuttgart

On May 8, 2013 Daniel Schwaab signed with VfB Stuttgart a dated until the end of June 2016 Treaty, which entered into force on the expiry of his contract at Leverkusen for 2013/14 season.

National

August 21, 2007 Schwaab debuted in the German U-21 national team. In the game against Ireland he was in the starting lineup. In the U-21 European Championship 2009 in Sweden under national coach Horst Hrubesch Schwaab came in the final against England in the 68th minute for his tournament debut and was with Germany U-21 European Football Championships.
