Darren Durdle

Darren Durdle ( born August 15, 1963 in Gimli, Manitoba ) is a former Canadian- British ice hockey player who spent three seasons with the Polar Bears Berlin in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga active.

Career

Durdle began his career in 1982 in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League in Lethbridge Broncos, but he still during the current 1982/83 season left to move to the Premier League rivals Prince Albert Raiders. In the summer of 1985 he got a scholarship to the Brandon University, for which he consequently Hockey Team to 1988 Canadian Interuniversity played in the college and university league sports. After he finished his studies, Durdle was active in the aftermath of several teams in the UK, after which he received British citizenship. For 1996/ 97, the defender signed a contract with the polar bear from Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. With the polar bears Durdle reached at European level in 1999 to third place in the European Hockey League. Then he returned to Britain, where he was a game -time in management of the Cardiff Devils. After the season 1999/ 00 he ended his hockey career at the age of 35 years.

Internationally

For the British national Durdle at the World Cup in 1997 and the qualification to this participated. In ten games he scoring three points scorer, of a goal.
