David A. Stewart

David Allan "Dave" Stewart ( born September 9, 1952 in Sunderland ) is a British musician, guitarist, composer and producer.

He became known primarily through the 1981 founded with Annie Lennox Eurythmics. Even before he played since 1977 with Lennox in The Tourists. Towards the end of the 1980s appeared a few solo albums, and together with the Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer succeeded in late 1989 with Lily Was Here from the film A Europe-wide top 10 hit. In 1990 he joined additionally with a band called Dave Stewart & The Spiritual Cowboys in appearance and had in Germany with Jack Talking a fairly successful hit.

The early 1990s, he worked with Terry Hall ( The Specials, Fun Boy Three, The Colourfield ) in the band project Vegas together and produced highly successful other artists, including the volume of his former wife, Siobhan Fahey, Shakespear 's Sister.

Together with Tom Jones in 1993 he took the charity plate All You Need Is Love on. In 1994, he published under his own name the album Greetings From The Gutter with the hit single Heart of Stone.

His musical debut was with the musical Barbarella (Musical) for the same film, which was premiered in 2004 at Vienna's Raimund Theater.

The end of 2007 he recorded the album Liverpool 8 as a producer of Ringo Starr ( The Beatles ).

In May 2011, he announced together with Mick Jagger, Damian Marley, AR Rahman and Joss Stone, the founding of the supergroup Super Heavy, the eponymous album was released in September 2011.
